I feel embarassed for having never heard of these guys until Kid Color used a Wham! vs Digitalism mashup on his Carded & DisCarded mixtape. But I’ve been living it up now, as The Avalanches are uber talented, and been having their debut album, Since I Left You, on repeat since I got it. 3500 different samples used to make up the album, are you kidding me?

Incredible turntablism is displayed by these guys from Since I Left You and their mash-ups/remixes alike… and the new album (which has been announced for over a year now) is supposed to go above and beyond even that. Well take your time fellas, I feel like I need to have this album which was released back in 2001 on my palate for a bit longer until I can truly appreciate the new stuff.
